Next Flight 2 Spain
I’ve road-tripped solo through Spain a couple of times and have spent time there with family and friends. After just a couple of trips, I started noticing that my friends would check in with me before their trips and ask for travel tips. Many would ask to join my next trip. It turns out, I love being the go-to friend for vacationing in Spain. My goal is always to help friends hit the spots they’ve always wanted to see, but also to take time to enjoy their trip at a slightly deeper level than they might have otherwise.

Join me for a discusion with Sacha Azcona, author of "El Madrid de Almodóvar." Sacha tells us neighborhood, by neighborhood — from Malasaña to Barrio de las Letras — where to go to see Almodóvar's most iconic film locations, and even those less-so-iconic. Along the way, Sacha shares his own Madrid ... where to go for the best tapas, the most romantic tea, and the most delicious 'tortilla de patatas.' His book is available on Amazon and Kindle. In the Kindle edition are live links to all the sites! We have a wonderful chat and offer fresh ideas for enjoying Spain on your next trip!

In today's podcast, I chat with Nicole of TravelToMoney. She's a world travel coach who can help you live a life of travel, adventure, and financial independence.
Nicole shares what she loves about Valencia — both the city and the region — and we imagine a 3–5-day road trip from Valencia to Alicante: a walk through Valencia's 5-and-a-half mile Jardín del Turia, coastal hikes & views, info for cyclists, a Catamaran experience, and the UNESCO World Heritage Fallas Festival. We also talk about two homes she's remodeling in Pego, Spain, and a little about her coaching business. Enjoy!
You can find Nicole on Instagram and YouTube at @TravelToMoney or her website — where you'll find more information on coaching — at www.TravelToMoney.com.

In my first bi-lingual podcast — on Wines of Spain: Rioja & more — my special guest is Professor José Luis Priego Bermejo of the Complutense University of Madrid. We cover wines of Rioja, Rías Baixas, Toro en Zamora, Jerez, Madrid, and more.
Professor Bermejo not only teaches inorganic chemistry but also is also an expert on wine and food pairing. Interestingly, he is a member of the tasting committee for the Madrid DO (Denominación de Origen) wine region. At the University, he teaches a continuing education course on wines of Madrid.
For this interview, my wonderful sister-in-law Maria helps me with translations. We explore doing a podcast in two languages and I learned valuable lessons for going forward! I hope you enjoy this first effort and hope you come back to NextFlight2Spain for more bilingual conversations as I adapt my approach.

In the meantime, I hope this interesting discussion on "Wines of Spain: Rioja & More" with Professor Bermejo and my sister-in-law María offers fresh ideas for enjoying Spain on your next trip!
